Youth Groups

Awana

Our church runs Awana Clubs for those age 4 to grade 6 on Friday nights from September to May.

The Awana Clubs are an evangelical Christian program involving Bible memory work, Bible messages, singing, and games in the gym. There is a fee for dues, books, and uniforms; however the cost of the program is very reasonable.

There are separate clubs for three different age groups. There is a group for preschoolers, one for children in grades k-2, and one for children in grades 3-6.

TGIF - Teens Growing in Faith

We are teens growing in Christian faith: A youth group for anyone in high school (grade 7-11) whether they are Christians or just open to learning more about Christ. Normally we meet at the church at 7:30 PM for games, fun, worship, Bible teaching, and small group discussion.

We often head over to a gym for an hour or so around nine.

University & Twenty-Somethings

A fellowship for university students (undergraduate or graduate) and those in their twenties.

Sunday Mornings

Teens Classes

There is a teen class for those in grade 7 and up at 9:30 AM.

Students

There is also a College Fellowship class for older teens who are attending CEGEP or university at this time.

Children's Church

The Christian Education department has a special children's worship "hour" in the church basement for children age 4 to 12 with music, prayer, a Bible lesson, and special features such as puppets. Three year olds who have learned to sit quietly and who prefer to stay with the older children rather than go to the nursery are welcome.

Sunday School

There are Sunday School classes for children from age 2 up to grade 6 during the 11:05 am worship service. The classes for those in elementary school start about 11:30 am. Children attend the first half of the worship service with their parents.

Nursery

The nursery is open for infants, toddlers, and younger two year olds during both the morning worship services.

First Hour

Three year olds are also invited during the first hour. We have purchased some Awana PuggLes material for use during this hour.

Second Hour

During the second worship service there is a class for two and three year olds in the kitchen. The nursery is open for babies, toddlers, and children up to two years old. The kitchen class is for those who are two at the beginning of the school year. The nursery is available for children under three years of age.

Evening

The nursery may be opened on some special Sunday evenings as well. These Sundays will be posted in the church bulletin.
