Statement of Purpose:
We are led of God to unite ourselves together in
Christian Fellowship, for the public worship of God, the
edification of the believer, the salvation of the lost
and the preaching of the Gospel to the ends of the
earth.
Ministry Context / Church Identity:
A regional, multi-national, Bible teaching ministry in downtown Montreal
Regional Ministry
We draw people from the greater Montreal area
We direct a de-centralized regional and affinity
based program
Multi-national Ministry
We are comprised of people from diverse national backgrounds celebrating that God's love embraces the whole human race.
Bible Teaching Ministry
We determine to keep the Bible as foundational to all teaching, from the pulpit to personal life-development, and in all related ministry functions.
We disciple people to have personal faith in Christ, to grow spiritually as they fellowship with God and to share this message in their everyday lives.
Ministry in downtown Montreal
We desire to be a lighthouse in our downtown community, directing ministry and outreach to the student body and residents around us.
Ministry Priorities:
To know Christ and make Him known.
This means that in all that we do at Peoples Church,
in all ministry groups and services, we intend to see at
least these two priorities at work:
Discipleship
Praying regularly for the effective working of the Spirit in the lives of fellow-believers, encouraging and upholding one another in our obedience to the Scriptures.
Providing a structure for every believer to have specific instruction for Christian living, designed to train people in what it means to know and be committed to Christ, learn to minister effectively in the Body, and make Christ known.
Evangelism
Praying regularly and specifically for the salvation of the lost.
Preparing people for effective witness through teaching, modeling, and outreach opportunities throughout the church's ministry.
Promoting a healthy desire for personal witness to family, friends and colleagues.
