1. Halloween points to a time when a lot of people died.
2. The fun happens because a New Year was traditionally being observed.

Did you know?

Egypt, Babylon, India, Iran, and Australian, Peruvian and Mexican aborigines all had a time when they remembered people who died. Strangely, this also came at the same time they celebrated their New Year.

This didn’t have anything to do with Druids.

There were only vague rememberances that came from somewhere. They developed over the generations into varied practices among the different cultures.
